Unfortunately, there is no one best driver for all cards and all games. You can try to update the video card’s bios, but is really difficult to find bios updates from video cards. Half Life 2 gave me a message my drivers were out of date and to install new drivers. Check too if you have any overclocking utility installed. I’ll have to give them a shot

Take a look at Guru3D for a boatload of choices. On some machines, you can completely disable the hardware acceleration to see if avoiding hardware alleviates the problem.

To get the most out of it, I installed the NVidia On this page, select the Troubleshooting or Performance tab, and slide the Hardware acceleration slider all the way to the left.
